Côtes de Bourg has been an AOC since 1936. Its vineyards produce red and white wines in 15 communes along the Garonne Estuary north of Bordeaux. 1% of the wine produced by the appellation is white, with the secret production methods known as iconic due to the profile of the wines.

WINE FLAVOUR PROFILE

Modern and refined Côtes de Bourg white wines are known for their freshness. These dry and fruity wines sometimes have exotic fruit notes and are lovely to drink in the early years after the harvest. They make a charming aperitif and can also accompany seafood platters, fish in sauce, white meat or soft cheeses.

 

GEOGRAPHICAL POSITION

The Côtes de Bourg vineyards cover 99 acres just over 20 miles north of Bordeaux and take in around 15 communes.
They stand out for their undulating terrain made up of hills and valleys, and for their sunnier climate that sees less rain than the rest of the region.
